Priority Area 2: Public Advocacy and Policy Development

Goal: Advocate for improvements in health care, human services, and other government services for people with disabilities that are based on the principles of inclusion, non-discrimination, personal dignity, self-determination, empowerment and meaningful choice.

Objective 2.1: Support bi-monthly meetings of the Consumer Inclusion and Recovery Coalition to monitor and respond to the implementation of Division of Behavioral Health and Division of Medicaid service regulations, and State and Regional Behavioral Health planning and plan implementation activities.

Objective 2.2: Conduct research and prepare a report that analyses and evaluates the implementation and impact of the Elizabeth M. Settlement Agreement and the Memorandum of Understanding on treatment provided to patients at the Lincoln Regional Center.
